Going to my first major tournament, and I'm scared

I'm attending my first major Smash tournament this weekend, Shots Fired in Easton PA. I'm signed up for Smash 4 only (I'm garbage at basically everything else), and I'm terrified.

Pools were just announced, and I'm in the same double elimination pool as Ally, Chibo, Lunchables, and Shippo. There's no way I'm making it out of this pool.

What should I expect? I've been to tiny locals before, but never with more than 15 entrants. I don't expect to win; I don't even expect to do well. I'll probably die out in bracket and go home with my tail between my legs. How do I make the most out of this experience?

If I were in your position I would look forward to playing that match. When you're the 'underdog' the pressure is heavier on the 'expected-to-win' side. If you're expecting to lose early in the tourney you might as well make the most of that bracket and learn a thing or two off of the alledged best players' play style. nothing to be scared of though. you're either gonna get some money or get some insight on how to come back and whoop that ass the next time around.

Im looking to get into the tournament scene myself. Before I do that I've got to hop off this For Glory crap, so I am looking for great players to spar with, with minimal lag. Add me up and maybe we can get some great games before your tournament. I live in east coast in New Jersey NNID: murrayhill
