Going that extra mile for Brawl?

Will you be doing anything special celebrating the release of the game we've been dying for, losing sleep over and speculating so much about. midnight tourny? dressing up on the way pickin up the game?

What i'll be doing: I'll be playing this game around this thursday (very excited) and i'll be recording a video of my first match/ reactions when first turning on game and going through the menu. It'll be great to look at us about 5 years later.

I am going so far as to get it the day AFTER it's released, because I preordered before the first delay with same day shipping (so I would get it December 3rd in the mail).

Look how that turned out now, it will arrive Monday now after the Sunday release. If I can pick it up at Walmart I might try to return the one I get in the mail, but we'll have to see I guess, or end up with 2 copies of the game which certainly wouldn't be a bad thing XD

Well I'll get it at midnight on US release, if my Gamestop has a tourney or anything like that I'll be there

Um, by extra mile do you mean going home and playing it?

I want to play the game most. I'm more excited about finding a demo station and getting to play it than its actual releas.

And yeah, I do want it. But I want to play it more than I want to own the disc. Its whatever gets me playing the actual game first I'm most excited about.

If there's a demo, I'm not ashamed of sitting at it and playing it for hours... even if I'm a grown adult.

Just stuff like that, or what you will first do in the game, what character, will you stare at the box art and read the entire manual before playing?

Ill go first into training mode, start with mario (recording all this) and through all the characters.

Then a quick CPU match with all items on at battlefield, and i'll use a random character.

After that SSE, unlock Captain Falcon and onto Online.

I'd probably just make Pizza rolls and rip open a 12-pack o' Mr. Pibb and play through SSE with my brother. I've got an idea for a Link costume if there's a midnight release, I haven't actually put it together though so I may or may not go as him.

I'll wait until i get it probably a few days after the brawl release (since there's no "pick up brawl" at the store..) andI'll wait for my friends to come over. I promised my friend that I wouldn't play as metaknight so he got to play as him first (wich is fine in my books ;P), and yeaah. Have fun :]

I live in the boonies kind of so I hope I'll be able to get it close to release day...

In any case the best rituals include junk food and advil for those uber game grind headaches that tend to pop up in these kinds of occasions. So that's what I'll be doing unless real life gets in the way somehow.

Well, since it will be March break, I will be pulling an all-nighter just to play Brawl on the Sunday night. Since my local EB Games opens at noon, there will MUCH anticipation in waiting for EB Games to open. I am going to go to EB Games at around 10 AM just to be the first one to get it. Before buying the game I am going to buy about 50 Cadbury's Creme Eggs, and lots of other junk (to keep myself awake! LOL). I will lock myself in my room and I won't come out unless I need the bathroom. If I can manage to get the entire roster without needing to use a website to find out how get certain characters, then I will take a break. It shall be the most EPIC and EXCITING day of my young life!

EDIT: I will also play lots of Melee to get pumped and see the difference between both games.

I will be playing ALL Brawl for most of March Break!!

Well, Feb 29, March 1st and Second, my friends and I are holding a Melee's End celebration, with a Melee all nighter, to say farewell to it, and make room for Brawl.

As far as other things...eh I have no idea, possibly a midnight release tournament, but thats about it.

I'm not throwing any huge celebration or anything, but my best bud on my floor and I agreed to first things first to SSE co-op mode (especially if there's a midnight release). As a Mario main and someone who definitely plans on maining Sonic we look forward to the epic partnership.
And there's about 95% chance of excessive amounts of Mountain Dew being involved.
