Hey people of Earth, Smashboards, and Kentucky! How would you like to enter a really cool tournament?
Then enter this "Go, My Minions! Go!" tournament you see right here!
It's a general double-elimination tournament, which means that you can lose twice before you get knocked out of the runnings. If you lose once, you get moved into a Losers bracket and compete against the other people who lost. Don't be afraid, though! The winner of the Losers bracket goes on to fight in the Finals against the winner of the Semifinals.
All characters are allowed in this tournament except for Miis. No custom moves or equipment is allowed.
Instead of being a general 1v1 tournament, it will put you and a CPU player (level 5) against an opponent and their CPU player (level 5). These are your Minions. Players can choose who they want to be their Minion out of anyone in the roster (except for Miis and the character you play as). They'll back you up, but you'll have to do most of the heavy lifting since you'll be more powerful than they are. Maybe pick a minion that can complement your character somehow, like if your character is slower, pick a faster character to make up for it. But choose wisely!

We will be using a chatroom for communicating with each other. You don't have to sign up on the website to use it! All you have to do is enter your Smashboards name as your alias and then you're in!
You also have to make sure you sign up on the Challonge page. Please use your Smashboards name as well as your 3DS friend code when you sign up. People who do not put their friend code in Challonge will be disqualified from the tournament. Challonge will adjust the bracket as people sign up for it. The bracket will not be finalized until after people finish checking in, so pay attention to that.
The tournament starts on Sunday, November 9th at 2:00pm EST (convert accordingly). You must check in on the Challonge page one hour before, so be sure to do that between 1:00 and 2:00pm. If you fail to do so, it will automatically disqualify you from the tournament. Please be in the chatroom when you check in, as well. If you cannot enter the tournament and stay for the entire time, please do not sign up. This will help avoid any major shifts in the experience.

- 2v2 tournament (you and a level 5 CPU player of your choice vs. another player and their level 5 CPU)
- Double elimination
- 2 stocks
- 5 minutes for each match
- Items are not allowed, must be set to "off" and "none"
- All matches are best of 3 (win two times) except for Semifinals (both Winners and Losers) and Finals
- First stage in each round must be Final Destination or any Omega stage
- Custom moves and equipment are not allowed

- Yoshi's Island
- Arena Ferox
- Boxing Ring
Characters:
- Mii characters are banned
- All other characters are allowed
- Custom moves are banned
- Equipment is banned
- Scores will be reported by the winner of the round on Challonge
- The score is the number of matches you won and the number of matches your opponent won
- Please do not fake your results. This tournament isn't for a prize or anything of material value
