I emailed a GGPO guy today to ask if it's possible to add GGPO net-code for Project M. he responded with this:
"GGPO is cross platform, but it requires "rollback" support built into the game. This basically means that game needs to be able to save it's state and resume from an old save instantly. I think this would be extremely difficult to do in Project M, unless it were running in Dolphin or something and Dolphin had rollback support built in... I'm guessing it's not technically feasible (but I could be wrong.. I haven't looked into Dolphin too much)"
I'm not sure what the odds of Project M getting it's own servers are so I wanted to pass this info on because GGPO is quite impressive. Anyone know if this would be possible to implement on the Wii?
