Getting Used to Rosalina & Luma

Hello my good friends! I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me as a new Rosalina player. I have recently taken interest in her as a character and I would like to make her my main for Super Smash Brothers for Nintendo Wii U. One problem I have encountered is that it is very hard for me to get used to her "Luma". Every time my luma is launched off-stage, It perishes, I do not know how to save the Luma most of the time. I also do not know how to position the Luma or when to position it in different ways. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to learning this fantastic character.

Rosalina is a character that everyone say is OP but she is very difficult to use. Go check competitive and combo videos of her. They are all amazing.

This is why I want to learn Rosalina. I have watched some footage of Apex 2015 and she looked like a fantastic character. I do also understand that she has one of the highest skill caps in the game.

Rosalina is still a young character, so it will take a couple of years for us have a solid knowledge of her. And in competitive play, Rosalina is really a tough character to beat. Online however, there are Rosalina butterfingers.And I hate to see Rosalina lose. (And just to mind you that I really really dislike another Mario newcomer, Bowser Jr,for personal and obvious reasons. I was kind of irritated when she appears in his trailer.)
I regard her as one of my main. But recently because of my college entrance exam and my a bit wear off circle pad plus no Wii U. I seldom play Smash Bros for now.
