I need a controller first and foremost. don't know where to find one these days.
Characters all look fun so id play whoever I guess

any help would be nice

http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=262536 you should see this thread, aka the Index thrad

There are also many other threads related to controllers, IIn terms of an actual n64 controller, I know they sell some on Ebay and in some online stores, maybe someone else can find it. You will need an adapter for online play unless you just want to play offline. I think most people use Raphnet or Mayflash (?) though there are many good keyboard players as well (like myself) as well as people who use GC, X-box, and other controls. Maybe you could buy one off of someone otherwise? (maybe at Apex or something.)

Use whoever you want
(though if you are a falcon/fox main you'll be accepted automatically, and if you are a Pikachu/Kirby/Ness main you'll be ignored)
jk,
not really

there exists GC--> n64 adapters, as well as GC--->computer adapter, if you LOVE AND WILL NEVER PART WITH GC controller/s
GC-->N64 ADAPTER

theres also exist gc-like N64 controllers(HORI-Style stick gives 4 frames of LAG, STAY AWAY)
N64+HORI Ebay Search

then there's good old regular n64 controllers, which would need grease

at below the last real option, there are 3rd party n64 controllers

good luck

FYI he's talking about the n64esque controllers with gc sticks, not the minipads. No delay on the minipads

wow don't listen to what Koro said in the spoilers. reading that gave me cancer

everyone uses whatever they want but I would suggest N64 controller so you'll be just as good on console

You're just getting started. Not using the N64 controller would be a sin and a half at this point. Like SK said, that way switching back and forth between online and console will be as painless as possible.

Welcome btw =)
