way to go AltF4, "use them more"...

exchange it. what's it feel like out of curiousity? to be shocked by a pair of headphones.

maybe the exposed wires are making contact with you

It's just like a static zap, like walking over a carpet and touching a doorknob. Anyway, there's no exposed wire or anything. Just some metal for aesthetics.

Well you need to remember it's the cold season and electric charges build up MUCH easier now more than ever especially if your wearing a winter coat and other static builders...
Lately every piece of metal I touch I make a static discharge
Soo every day when I go up to my locker at school I'm hesitant to touch it because I know it's gonna shock me... :[ I hate shocks.

I think I know what's going on. My earbuds aren't shocking me. I'm shocking my earbuds! I'm building static on me, and then when my ears touch the metal part I get a static discharge. I guess I'll put some tape around the metal parts.

suggestions:

1) rename this thread. you're telling us that the earbuds are sending electricity to you, when it's actually the other way around.

2) dont weaR them, wear REAL headphones, with full size earcups and all.
