Getting out of shines

I know the #1 rule is 'dont get shined in the first place', but sometimes things don't work out that way.

several times now in tournies i lose to a fox (sometimes falco) waveshining to the edge and then just edgeguarding me into oblivion. ive tried several types of DI but have never been able to escape it. is there any known DI patter / ASDI input that is best vs the shine combos?

Fastfall will let you grab the edge before fox can shine you again, and mixing up SDI away and in vs waveshine will force the fox to pay attention to spacing on his followups from it which will cause them to drop it more often aka you get out.

is it theoretically possible to float out of a double grounded shine?

don't think so. asked armada about this once and he said the only option is ASDI and SDI out of it, trying to make the fox mess up. otherwise its pretty guaranteed. try smashing out and in so that he misjudges the distance between them, or so that you end up being shined behind him.

best alternative is to not get caught in the first place (hard i know)
