Getting Friends Codes through Wi-Fi play

We know that it is impossible to communicate through Random play. But what about with Friends. Anyone can get codes that way.

Ill explain. Say you have a friend that is hosting a match. Then you join in as the 4th person with the host being the 1st person. Well, who is to say the other two people in the match are already your friends. Just because they are on the host's friends list does not mean that they are on your list. So you can play against people who are not on your list and still see their names and status. And you can get their codes to add them to your list, because anyone can put a code in their taunt in with Friends. Or you could just put your code next to your icon in the comments section. Something like "#### #### #### #### add me". That way it will be much easier to network and get codes. Plus you can see how good a player is and what their connection status is before you decide to add them. This will make it super easy to get friends and screen potential friends before adding them to your list. I really dont see how this wouldnt work. This does make sense, right?

Even if it did work, a Wii number is a 16 digit number, how the hell are you going to remember it throughout the match?
Even if the match is 2 minutes long, you keep your mind busy about tactical options, not on numbers.
There's practicly no chance you could remember the whole code correctly until after the match.

You could do the following. Put your Friend code as a taunt, pull out your taunt, then pause it so everyone can write down your code while its still up on the screen. Though Im not sure if pauses will be enabled in this mode.

I like the idea. One taunt would be something like, "Add me! Here's my friend code." And the next, your friend code. If they didn't have a friend code on their taunt, then they would change one of their taunts so you could exchange them. At best, everyone would have their friend code in their taunt, so you could get anyone's when you want.

It's too complicated. I doubt you can pause in the middle of online play, and no one will remember some friend code. Better to count on your friend to tell you who you were just brawling and give their friend code, or just rely on forums.

Interesting.

I also had a (somewhat delusional) idea for a way to get codes on with anyone mode.

I just thought of a great (or potentially ********) idea. If you meet someone on Wifi that you would like to fight again, but you're on "with anyone" mode, there could be some kind of specific movement that is understood worldwide. Example: You're playing on Battlefield, and you go to a specific spot on the stage and do all three taunts. You're opponent realizes that you're trying to get his friend code or give him yours now. For each number in your friend code, jump that amount of times and move to the right or left to enter the next number.

For example, say your code is 5678. You go to the spot and taunt three times. Your opponent stops fighting and goes to get a sheet of paper and a pen. Now, you jump five times. On the fifth jump, stop jumping and move maybe 5 steps to the right. Now jump six times, stop, and move to the right. Now jump seven times, repeat, and then jump eight times.

After registering friend codes, you can message each other to figure out what each other's usernames are.

If you people don't think this is a completely ridiculous idea, I might make a thread for it.

I think this method is incredible. But with only 2 minutes in With Anyone, I think it'd be quite a hassle. Esp. with 2 other players in the mood for a Brawl.
Maybe after a period of time, a suitable "code for Friend Codes" is accepted by everyone.

dont forget we may have stock also selectable. But the biggest problem with the idea is what if one player is unaware of the code and continues to attack.

You're making it too hard. You'll want to just be playing the match at that point. How are you going to get everyone else to go on old? Plus, you can just talk to your friend after the match was over and ask him who he the other person was that he invited.....................

It appears to be no more than 20 characters. On topic, I doubt they will make any way of getting Friend Codes in With Anyone and you can just ask your friend who the other people were, like darkNES said.

EDIT:

It was just an idea. Another way to get friend codes. And this way you can see how other players play and what their connection status. This is something you dont know from forums. But if you can find experienced players in you area through forums it would be just as good.
