I'm in Berlin. Kind of nice place. Good subway system, cheap food, resturant owners suck at English which forces me to use my German for Dummies skills.

I noticed that certain Wii games are half the price of what I'm used to. I picked up Zack and Wiki and Battalion Wars II and prepared to pay for them, but the clerk told me that "Games are maybe not in English". I really don't want to play a game and have to translate everything I see on the screen. So I'm asking you guys who own German Wii games:

Do those generally have language options?

Wouldn't they be region locked anyway? (Meaning that you would need a German Wii)

The european games should come in 6 languages, just like the DS games (but I'm not too sure).
However, you would need a PAL wii to make it work, or a disk called the freeloader that lets you use NTSC games with PAL wiis and vice versa.

Good luck for that, see if it's worth it ^^

Usually, the languages are printed on the back of the box, a small logo with different flags or the languages are written out - sometimes there's multilingual boxes.

If you see the text:
BILDSCHIRMTEXT IN DEUTSCH

it usually means that the ingame text is German only.

Wii games in PAL usually either adapt to the language setting of your Wii (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and I think Dutch if these languages are available, otherwise it's in English), or have the language setting in game.

Okay, I checked. It seems both of them are multi-lingual. I was rather sure about Battalion Wars, but Capcom recently has released some games that were in German/French only (i.e. Phoenix Wright since 3, I imported it and Apollo Justice's US version, lol), so I checked for Zack & Wiki. Apparently, these 2 games are okay to go.
