General Doubles Tips?

I have never done a doubles tournament before, I host a monthly in my town and was looking to add doubles to it. What are some good tips for doubles (for me and tournament goers who ask) because I have never touched doubles before. Also what is a good way to practice doubles, it will be my brother and I on a team, we just don't have the option to play other teams often.

Doubles tips:
Talk/communicate with youre partner.

To get a permament teammate(s) is the best thing. So you can be comfotable teaming with him/her so you know what do in almost every situation.
Remeber to watch everybody at the screen.

when should you take stocks? i play icies, and i kept getting mad at my partner because he'd take a stock when i was sopo with 2 stocks left. i think i'm in the wrong here, but regardless i still want a stock with nana as well.

Communicate it, you think your partner would do better tell him to take a stock. If you don't tell him not to. Communication and trust is key. Tell your teammate these guidelines and build synergy, this is why a static partners do so much better in doubles, ex: Armada / Android, compare to how HBox / Axe plays, you can sense the trust / synergy between Armada / Android. While Hbox / Axe is just two top singles player teaming. A good video about trusting your teammate.
