i was just on the dojo and was looking at classic mode again...i looked at the coins thing after he cleared the stage...it said they aren't used to shop...maybe that means instead of buying trophies all the time that meant that you could unlock characters by doing that...or special characters not unlockable any other way. i don't know i'm just guessin...but its possible...
