Gecko OS doesn't load hacks

So, I want to use all the Super Char Codes. But whenever I load gecko, it never seems to work, but when I put in a few codes (like 1 or 2), they work.

So I use the gameconfig.txt method, but it still doesn't work? I'm wondering if gameconfig.txt only works for brawl+? I want to use hacks on the official brawl. (as in balanced)

I'm using 1.9.3.1

gameconfig.txt works for me with BBrawl.
You might need to put your .gct file in /data/gecko/codes instead of just /codes (not sure if this will help.)
