gc controller on n64

does anyone know if you can use a GC controller on an N64 console?

Unless you wanna go through a complicated procedure, no , you can't. Your best bet is the hori mini pad controller or playing ssb64 on the wii.

The hori minipad has been mentioned a lot of times already and sadly no one seems to have it / no one can comment about it. The only thing i know is that its kinda expensive

why would you want to play ssb64 with a gc

It makes ssb64 harder to play (I have both an n64 and gc adapter, and I've tried both)

im pretty sure you know i play ssb64 online with GC

No one is gonna want to play with you if you're gonna get stupid DI like that.
lol id be glad if i ever got a chance to play with someone decent on console.... 5 frames delay tho JK lol

You could make any button any button... all you're doing is changing the packets the controller and console send to each other. I'd do it if I had a GC controller and a jack to make the adapter... the code would be pretty simple, though to use the rumble pack I think you'd need a power source, but I don't remember the GC voltages off hand.

Stick the GC controller as hard as u can into n64 see if it works. if it doesnt keep shoving it till it breaks.
