GC Controller Analog Stick Unsteady

So, I recently bought a used GameCube controller. It has a little dust, but I'm planning to do a thorough exterior and interior clean whenever my tri-wing screwdriver is delivered from Amazon. My one problem with this controller is that the default state of the analog stick is very easy to shift around when tilting the controller. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Oh, also when I tested it with Dolphin, the "default" state (the state of the analog stick if I take my hands off it) is very much pointed upwards from where it should be, and when I went into SSBB in Dolphin, it kept going upwards and pressing down on the analog stick did nothing whatseoever. I've had this problem with the Classic Controller in the past, but disconnecting and reconnecting it with the Wii Remote always seemed to fix the problem in the past, but with this controller it still has this problem after disconnecting and reconnecting ....

Well, in any case, I hope that tri-wing screwdriver arrives soon!
