GC-controller adapter for Wii U

What do you think about this? Does it make you reconsider purchasing Wii U, since technically you could play Melee on it provided it will be downloadable in the future? What about Smash Bros. 4?

I have no real basis for this other than my instincts, but I doubt it will register light L/R presses properly.
