GC Adapter Restock Concerns?

I keep reading these articles online on Nintendo Life and other sites saying that Nintendo won't be making the GC Adapter for awhile. They sold incredibly fast and it makes me worried that this will be the only time you'll be able to get them. That's the only way I want to play Smash and I don't want to make a change to something I grew up using.

The Smash branded Gamecube controllers are still in stock in several places.

It's foolish to believe Nintendo would produce so many controllers that only function with the adapter and then not make any more adapters.

Check Amazon and Wal-Mart on December 4th. That's the date I keep seeing mentioned on Reddit for when the adapters are supposed to be back in stock.

I can not imagine that Nintendo wouldn't make more of these. The fact that they sold out completely just shows the huge demand. There is zero risk of selling more of these things not turning a profit.

Pretty much what I was going to say. With as rapidly as they sold out, they have to realize the demand for them is there. I'd guess they simply weren't prepared for them to be as popular as they were.

It's pretty smart of them. Just produce a minimum of them, see if they are a succes. If yes, you can sell a LOT of them.

Amazon told me they'd be in stock December 4th as well but then I received mine in the post from them last Saturday.

There was much confusion. Followed by much rejoicing.

GC adapters are still in store here in The Netherlands. Not even sold out O_o

GC Adapters were pretty much sold out before the game even released over here.

GameStop took off the store availablability option on their website for the adapter. That's how sold out they are.
