GC Adapter not working on 3.6 Beta?

Seeing that I have a Wii U made me very happy to see this feature added since before I had to play on a Wii mote, which sucked. I tried testing out the GC adapter and nothing would input. I tried loading P:M on multiple trials, but nothing happens when I attempt to input something on my controller. Has anyone found a solution to this or is everyone having the same problem? Feedback would be appreciated

The launcher supports the GC adapter on Wii U, but I don't believe it's possible to make the game itself use it.
