Gardena/Torrance/Carson/PV/ or anything

Hey guys, i tried searching for a thread that talked about a smash tourny in my area, but most seemed pretty old.

Anyways, I've been looking for a tourny for a while now, I live in Gardena which is in LA county and nothing ever goes down here -_-

Any tournaments going down in or near Gardena/Torrance/Carson/PV/San pedro/ Hawthorne/Inglewood? Please guys im pretty desperate to find one.

SNPR hosts really small tournies once in a while in Torrance, otherwise I don't know of anything.

Yea man i feel ya on the desperate thing. Smash is always fun but playing with my friends gets boring after a while.

Only one of my friends is about as good as i am, and even then i usually beat him. Im pretty much the only one of us who uses advanced techniques (l-cancel, wavedash, shffl). How often does that snpr thing go down?

Haha, i didnt forget you jack. But as far as neighborhoods go... Yea no offense but inglewood isnt the greatest of cities, neither is Gardena (BORING). Torrance is cool though, lots of hotspots to chill and whatever.

P.s. I just played some guys over in Torrance that thought they were the ****. Handled'em like 2nd grade math. Made an easy $20 bucks too ^_^

Okay so, what i got so far: JAck, Adolex and Moogledude are gona come.

IF (and i mean IF) we can get this going it will be at my house at around 4:00 until whenever. I will post here tomorrow in the morning with more information (address, directions)

Are all you guys over 18? if not how old? And do you guys wana play for some money? =D

Yes, I am 18 going on 19. At the moment i don't have money but i will take some out. We will see in do time. Oh we should all pitch in and get some food as well! Good idea huh.

yea definitley good idea on the food thing. I was thinking we could order some pizza or whatever, either with the tournament money or we could just get some extra money together.

Again though, this isnt 100% going down as of yet, but most likely i will be able to get this going.

As far as friends go, you can bring a ONE friend if you want, but please try not to bring anymore then one. Like i said this will be in my living room and we wont have tons of room to do this.

I live closer to Carson, within the area between Normandie and Vermont, near Harbor-UCLA. I'd be willing to smash sometime once I get settled into life at school again and stuff, but my friends and I (usually a group from 3-5 people) smash at our school on Cal State Dominguez Hills campus in Carson... So if anyone has any news, PM me or keep it posted here..

Actually I think it would be a bad idea to use Dominguez campus' TVs cuz even though it's an open campus, all of us would be intruders >.>

I'd rather have a small session (single digit number of people) at a house.. I unfortunately can't host cuz I have a crowded place and my parents would not approve.

I'm kinda itching for some fresh faces, the last smash fest I went to was at White_Rob's in Irvine with Ken and KC. And that was maybe 4 years ago. :[

i dont think i mentioned anything about money, but the prize is technically store credit.
it's a pouch with the prize inside. if you hand out cash it is considered gambling and if you dont have a license that is illegal
