Ganoncide on Delfino

Not sure if this has been discovered/discussed on these boards yet, if so then ignore.

Anyway, I decided to pick Ganondorf back up the other day after reading Sliq's awesome AT thread, and was playing a friendly on Delfino. I was hanging off the ledge of the main platform (the flying/travelling one) and did a ledge hopped murder choke. To my surprise, though Ganondorf did the lunging and grabbing animations just above the platform, instead of slamming poor Zamus to the floor he dragged her through the platform to her doom.

Anyway, just thought this was a cool occurrence (it looked fantastic), and since Delfino is allowed as a counter-pick stage in some tournaments could be useful. I can probably get a video of the match up later if desired.

Very old, works on halberd and the platform on pikmin level just to name a couple...

Delfino is a good Ganon stage, mostly due to the portions with water. Get someone in them, and it is basically a free stock.

...that stage is hilarious.

To the OP, unfortunately(in most cases) that means that your Murder Choke wasn't high enough to go above the stage, and if you hadn't grabbed Zamus, you would've still died, albeit a more lonely death.

However, that's why I think Norfair is a decent Ganon stage. You can go from edge to edge with the Murder Choke pretty quickly, and if you sweetspot it then it's pretty fast. If you go above the platform with a Choke, the person on it is going to get grabbed and likely die.

Well yeah...I mean, it still is good against Dedede if, when a walk off comes up, you immediately run full speed to the edge of the stage. Then all you need is a back throw and it will KO at almost 0 percent. I mean, regardless of where you are Dedede can chain you to death, but if you put yourself in a position where if they fail they lose a stock, their ***got chain grab becomes a much more dangerous pursuit.
