Please don't flame me. This was a tough process, I originally also had Mii, Sheik, Krystal, Baby Bowser, Little Mac and the Balloon Fighter in here as well, but I had way too much, so I had to cut them. And I only put in Lucario because I refuse to believe that Pokemon, Nintendo's most profitable franchise that does not feature a red-clad Plumber, would not have a rep from it's latest edition. I kept all the original 12 in (although, of course, the Link from SSB and SSBM was the OoT Link, but it's not like there are any major differences between the two).
Lucas has been confirmed, and will likely be a starter. I believe Ness will still make it in, as the wording that Sakurai used was rather vague about Ness.
