Here's something a friend and I were talking about last night - urban legends about games that were kicking around the playground when you were a kid. Stuff that the other kids would make up about games such as the whole "Mew is hidden under a truck" thing.

For me, I remember playing Sonic Adventure 2 as a kid and searching high and low for a bounce item for Shadow and armor for Tails. Since Eggman got armor and Sonic got a bounce item I swore to god that there had to be similar, but hidden, items for their counterparts.

no in Vermillion city in that little area outside the S.S Ann there was a truck. thats what everyone thought u needed to push. i also remember it was something like all 6 of your Pokemon used strength on the boat itself and there'd be a Pokeball underneath.

i remember that the thing Eevee was chasing around in Pokemon snap was supposedly Kirby and or that you could get Dragonite to evolve into a Yoshi.

If you tried to use it on the truck in CELEDON city, that explains why you never got a mew

In Pokemon G/S/C if you got all the Eeveelutions you could access a place called Bill's backyard. Took me like 3 years to actually get all of the forms as trading wasn't so easy back then with nobody playing and no online. Then I realized it was bull****. I never even though what the hell that backyard was supposed to do.

I doubt there's any truth in this, back in High School I had a friend who was huge into Pokemon (as in, the ONLY games he played were Pokemon games, even the spin-offs no matter how ****ty) and he once claimed that if you encounter a shiny Pokemon, and then used repels until you confronted a legendary then that legendary would be shiny.

I don't remember if you it mattered if you caught the original shiny or not.
