I don't know if this is the right place to put this (sorry if it isn't), but I'm trying to get into competitive Smash, but I can't seem to think of a gamertag. I thought of:

Jin
Kirus
Rocmaster

...but I still need some ideas. You guys got any? I don't want it to pertain to who I main.

That's not something others should choose for you, though. My username is the name of a song I used to like in the 00s.

Just play around. Call yourself whatever in whatever other game, and if you don't like it, change it. I've changed my steam name, maybe 60 times... Mostly to jokes for my friends, but sometimes to whatever.

I've always liked Smudge. It's the name of a cat in one of my favorite book series ("Warriors", it's literally all about cats), It's the name I gave to a stray cat (pattern intensifies). Also, it's not too serious, unlike "Armada" or something. (Sorry, no kill me). Smudge was taken, so add an "s" and voila!

In the end, it comes down to you.

I was thinking Kirus but it sounds like I main Pit (KId icaRUS). I am blown.

Idk im not you so something that means something to you is the most important.
I personally go under Lochy! in tournament but that is my name. The reason it works is because like no one has my name so you will only see one Lochy! playing and its me.

Is "Pixel" too common? I thought it wasn't taken, but then I saw the credits of Rivals of Aether and there was apparently a guy under that name.

If it's taken, is "Pixel_" all right? I could probably come up with something else if it's not

We aren't you. We don't know what you like, what your personality is like, etc. This isn't something you ask people to decide for you. It should be something that is close to you, or something that defines you, or even just something you like. For example, my tag is my nickname in real life. Everybody calls me that anyway, so it became something I associated myself with, and it became my tag.

It doesn't matter what we like, it matters what you like. And if you don't know what you like, don't rush it! Once you are recognized, your tag is something you are stuck with and recognized by, so make sure it is something you love.
