How do I do this without lag, I can't find a CRT anywhere, so I was wondering how can I hook it up to my HD TV but without input lag.

You don't (unless you have a gaming monitor). Your problem isn't the setup, it's the image processing that it has to go through before it displays the image. You could limit the amount of lag (by changing the TV to game mode, making sure the signal doesn't go through any additional boxes before getting to the TV (other than a switch, splitter, or anything else that couldn't modify the signal), etc.), but there will probably still be a very noticeable amount of lag. Are you sure you've checked all of the normal options for CRTs in your area (Craig's List, Good Will, Ebay, or any other place where someone would dump anything they don't want)?

It can't be done unless you by some coincidence have among the better HD TVs, which you probably would've bought for gaming in the first place. BenQs and one other brand whose name escapes me are about as good as any CRT, but otherwise...you're out of luck. Just gotta find a pawn shop or goodwill and see if they have any on hand for cheap.

just search "CRT TV" on craiglist, or "tube TV". Shouldn't be more than $20. Some people will just give them away because they take up so much space and they're a hassle to move.

I saw like three CRT's on the curb over the past week so it's hard to believe that there are no CRT's available. What type of area do you live in?
