GameCube Disc Errors

Recently I got Path of Radiance from an online seller and have been running into some issues in Chapter 6.

I'm capable of playing up to a certain point - usually at one of the bridges - and then the game disc stops reading and the disc error message comes up.

I'm able to play other GameCube games with no problem so I know there's an issue with the disc. I tried cleaning it with a microfiber cloth with a dab of water - that didn't work; It doesn't appear to have any scratches.

What's the best way of repairing a GCN disc; I really don't want to buy another copy of PoR, they cost an arm and a leg nowadays...

I'd gently wipe the Gamecube's lens with a q-tip that has been dabbed with rubbing alcohol. Let it sit while it dries and then try again. If the disc really is scratch free, then there must be something preventing the Gamecube from reading that portion of the disc.

Gamecube lens are really fragile and tend to lose center when the system gets older. Your system may be in its last legs.

I really think it is the disc.

I'll try it out on the Wii to see if the problem persists.

It worked with no issues on the Wii.

I find it odd that my other GCN games play fine but PoR hiccups.
