Gamecube controller right trigger jam?

So I have a new gamecube controller thats only 2 months old, and and the right trigger is jamming now from the way I press the button which is really odd. I dont put my right index finger in the fitted molding when wave dashing and now the button is extremely hard to push down becasue I use the bottom lip of the button that comes out to push if it makes any sense? Is there anyway to fix this or is it just screwed??

first of all stop wavedashing like that

second of all buy a tri-wing screwdriver online and open up your controller, clean out the trigger and put it back in

I know right its so freakin hard not to im buying a sd tom and doing just that
