Recently bought a T1 Gamecube spice orange controller, over time the C-stick right and left directions started to drift, so i opened it and took out and reinserted the Potentiometers for cleaning.
After this, Left and Right works perfectly fine, however up and down doesn't even work now.
I think its because the upper part of the potentiometer case snapped in half a bit when i tried to re-insert it to the Stick box, but i didn't give it importance since it still was held together well, until i realized that maybe the crack reached the brown part in the case and i then considered that could be the issue.
is there a way i can fix this?
stuff i tried:
-Swap potentiometers
-Clean the potentiometers and stick box with contact cleaner and a brush
-Re-insert and apply pressure on the potentiometer case
-Hold X, Y and Start to reset the controller
Also, as an additional issue, the rumble motor doesn't work either. When the controller arrived the rumble was already dead so i re-soldered it (black wire on minus, white wire on plus) but that didn't help.
any methods are welcome below, but avoid putting expensive methods first
pictures (potentiometer one came out blurry sorry but it looks fine to me):
