I just got word that there will be a Game store singles tournament for Brawl

Date: February 12, 2011

Location: Game Tag Video Game Store-5004 N. 95th Ave. Glendale, AZ 85305

Buy In: TBA

Time: 2:00 PM

General Rules: TBA (unfortunately, due to how most game stores work)

I went to one of these, got first easily.
1,200 XBL points for it, got the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World game and Duke Nukem 3D.

Their rules were pretty wtf, they had a free for all tourney, like 4 stocks, smash balls on, and stages set to random.

The singles were Final Destination only, 4 stock, and 8 stock on finals.
Finals were pretty funny though, the guy I was up against had a funny game face (:fuuu and it was Jiggrypoof vs. Ness. His girlfriend or whatever was cheering for him at first then got quiet then later said "Yeah... you're not gonna win this one." The only times I died against him were when I tried to be too fancy, but I swear punishing rollout with a Ness missile is too f-ing good.

But yeah anyways, I think calling about the rules would be a good idea. . 3 .
That and the fact that they only had 2 tvs...

Oh yeah and I met Beefy there. :3

sorry but I think that the play n trade is a better bet, holding them on the same day sucks though. gonna brush up on my melee guys... although I get a feeling that I'm just going to get *****

I'm probably way worse than you at meree.
And no, they're good about tules here, gametag is the one with the problems lol.

I would ask my dad but I have a counseling appointment right before so we're gonna need all the time we can get.

And huevoyoshi probably can't go either, his dad can be quite stubborn about taking him but he's trying. Idk if he could take you too or not though.
Maybe tell some people about the tourney and ask if they can take you too? We need more good players at these playntrade tourneys, most of them are noobs. D:

there are usually 1 or 2 decent players that could start getting competitive with ease, keep in mind most of the people have no access to the wealth of information present here or are able to practice with people on competitive skill levels.

so yeah btw if you play someone who has the potential to play on a competitive level try to get them to come to the next tourney.

Hey I won a set with snake.

And if you want go go by even single match wins, I won with Falco and Kirby too lol. Also, I'm sure Brett used Snake at some points.

I use too many characters lol. I used Yoshi (first time in months, oops...), Falcon and Fox this tourney as well.
I highly regret using Falco. D:
I would use him if I was better with him, but I am not lol.
