I'm feeling pretty annoyed this week. A few weeks ago I got my new rig and it has been running fine up until recently.
Most games and software, crash at the very opening stages of the installation process when the setup "configures windows installer". It simply closes, with no error message and no sign of it in my processes. I've tried to run these setups as admin, running it in XP compatability mode and in safe mode; and after several attempts at googling for a solution during the week, I decided to try my luck here.
Currently I am unable to install Crysis, Fable, Quake 4, Adobe Aftereffects and Acrobat on this PC.
Could it be a problem with my hard-drive or DVD drive?
