Hey guys, so I launch project m, I get to the screen with the four options, play, about etc. and I can't do anything from there. To get anywhere else I have to turn my wii off and on again. I can't even press home on my wii mote.

I've been looking and no one has seemed to have the same problem as me. I've explored every guide and I've doen every step multiple times.

Hm...I'm not sure what's the problem, but it's possible that it's your SD Card.

You need to have a 2GB SD Card (or less) to launch P:M. The reason for this is because of the Wii's limitations at the launch of SSBB. The Wii was able to read better SD Cards with an update, but SSBB was released before that, so this might be the case.

Hope I helped! :D

I don't think it's the card because mine is doing this too. I have two Wiis and bought two brand new 2GB SanDisk SD cards. Followed all the instructions and both cards work on one of my Wiis, but on the other- the game launches, and then seems to freeze because the remote no longer works. If I plug in a GC controller, I can actually navigate the menu and select "PLAY" and THEN it freezes for real. I have erased all custom stages on this wii and am unaware of any other harware prep that needs to happen.

Did you check to see if it was actually 2g or smaller
apparently someone on here bought one, But it ended up actually being like 2.1 gigs.

Mine are 2GB. Wondering now if system updates matter. I don't know when the last time either of those Wiis have been updated...
