Game Freezing After Selecting Stage (nohomebrew)

I redownloaded project m to see if it would fix the inconsistency of whether the game would actually work or not, and now the game will freeze every time i pick a stage. The game will boot up normally, but when i try to play it will either freeze before you even get into the game, or it will freeze during the countdown. I've formatted the sd card and redownloaded it again but nothing seems to help. Anything?
