Game Freeze from Textures(?)

I just loaded some texture and vertex hacks onto my SD card and they appear to be causing a game freeze. I've tested multiple textures on multiple characters and all of them cause a freeze. The freeze generally happens right as the textured or vertexed character finishes the last frame of their entry animation. When I put 4 modified characters in game the freeze sometimes occurs on the second, third, or forth character's entry animation, instead of the first character's. Also, I once experienced a silent freeze after selecting a stage and before leaving the SSS--this was with one textured character and another stock character. I'm running BBrawl, but no other PSA's are on my SD. All freezes (unless otherwise noted) have been a loud beep.

I've been using Brawl hacks for around 2 years now, and I've never had any freezing because of textures in the past. I didn't check if my common5's file size is under the limit (after adding CSPs), but I can't imagine why that would cause a freeze on level load rather than on the CSS. My Brawl is heavily modifed with over 700 lines of code, but I've never heard anything about any of the codes I use conflicting with textures or the file loader code. In a nut shell, the codes I use are BBrawl's set, Eternal Yoshi's maxed SSS for PW's SSS expansion code, and Oshuboy's(sp) first Stage Dependent Track Loader code (37 instances of it). If asked, I'll happily post my entire code.

To recap, it appears that anytime I load a textured or vertexed character, my game freezes either on the SSS when a stage is picked, or in the level when a character finishes their entry animation.

Anyone have any ideas what might be my problem?
Any questions are welcome--I will do my best to answer completely and accurately.
Any help is much appreciated.
