The TL;DR is that I've grown tired of the complete and utter demonization of sexuality, so I'm spending my money elsewhere. If you want to read a wall of text for my thought process, then proceed.

Video games, at least for me, are to be entertaining and or engaging, to enjoy in between my daily responsibilities. I'm a human being, I pay my taxes, I earn my own income, I hold the door open for people, and I enjoy the occasional Whopper when I go out, it just so happens that I'm a pervert and am entertained by overly sexualised men and women. Quite frankly, I've reached the point where I'm pretty tired of having my being questioned for the things I happen to take an interest in, as if people really have a choice in what makes them happy, I suppose next you're gonna tell me people choose to be gay.

But I'm a grown man, a few words from people I don't even know don't deter me from liking what I like, they have a right to their opinions and speech just as much as I do, the world is more than big enough for all of us. Rather, what I have an issue with, is when those in charge go out of their way to remove content I had an interest in.

Now, I'm perverted, sure, but that doesn't mean I need, or want, naughty bits in my face all day every day, I also enjoy the Little Big Planets, Kirbys, Wolfenstein, Sonic the Hedgehog, and I have other hobbies, like gardening. If you don't want "fanservicey" elements in your game, then by all means, have none, make all the girls fully clothed and flat, and if you want all the fanservice, then I think they should also have the right to go nuts, what I can't stand, are these half hearted attempts at trying to please everyone, there's just something that feels very insincere about the whole thing, and that bad vibe just lingers in me whenever I decide to think about it.

Oh, I more than understand the business side of things for wanting to appeal to the widest audience possible, my personal feelings to their decisions are irrelevant, however, I can't help but notice that when the decision comes to make changes when it comes to the market, the sexual content, sometimes even exclusively, is what has to get cut, right down to getting rid of the breast slider option in Xenoblade Chronicles X, sucks if I wanted to make a flat chested character. It puzzles me in particular, cause here in Jamaica, we have very little problems with sexual content, children watching porn is really no big deal, but then when these companies say they're making these changes for "worldwide appeal", I get really confused, you mean to tell me that Jamaica and Japan are the only 2 countries in the world that don't have a problem with sexual content in media? I find that very hard to believe.
I don't know if this is all a result of Social Justice boogeymen or whatever, and quite frankly, I don't care, it's irrelevant what the reason is, the fact is that these companies have made their choices, and they have decided which side of the market they wish to cater to, and now, it's time to make my choice.

There are games out there, like Dragon's Crown, Senran Kagura, and Conception 2 that have no problem having both hyper sexualisation, and being a good game, and there are also games that decided from the get go they weren't going for that, and go with a different kind of style, while still being a good game, like Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure, and Sonic Lost World.

I don't know if these Social Justice Warriors are real or not, but in the end I ought to thank them, they've made it clear to me which game developers I want to support, and saving me money, money I can now spend on getting my nephew a gift or something.

Meh, I personally don't really care for fan service, but it doesn't really make the game worse for me in any way. I would rather it be an optional thing than something shoved in your face, and most games manage to do that. I can see why the would get rid of something like a breast slider, because most people aren't gonna make the character more flat chested(not that it matters), and over protective parents would make so many complaints and not buy the game. It's not as much social justice as just society being really strict when it comes to sexual stuff.

It's really stupid how the USA works though. **** like guns, guts, and violence is perfectly okay, but stuff like nudity drives parents freaking nuts. They could even make a slightly more kid friendly version of a game to cut some of the fan service out, but that takes more work than simply cutting it out.

I'm with you, I too am heavily disappointed with video game censorship and I'm among the gamers that are trying to push back against it. Developers should not be afraid to release their products or express themselves merely out of fear of negative reception in the gaming media. They should not cave to the hostile climate in gaming media created by special interest groups that claim to speak for common gamers. These ideologues do not speak for us.
