Just for the record..
Red: Main character
Blue: Female character
Green: Rival
Following this format, for the other generations:
Gold/Crystal/Silver
Ruby/Sapphire (I believe Wally wasn't called Emerald)
Diamond/[No Name yet]/Pearl
I think if anyone, they should use Green (or in English, Blue) as a new character. Rival characters can be fun. Give him Bulbasaur/Charmeleon/Blastoise. Would seem kind of redundant for another 1st gen rep, but hey, they can be pretty fun to use. >_> And if they were to add a villian of some sort, I would think Green (Blue) would be the first.
