I main Meta Knight not only because I perform best with him, but also because he has many techniques that are useful while being fun to do.
- Gliding under FD and other stages. This is useful for avoiding being edge guarded by someone chasing you off the edge since you can grab the ledge on the other side from below as you rise up along side the stage. It's really hard to hit you since the enemy has to take the time to recover themselves. It can be very fun when you do the normal glide to one side, and then do an up-B glide back to the original side. If you do that, the glide can actually take you way up off the top of the screen even if you started not far up! Of course you should practice this first so you don't glide too low and kill yourself.
- Using side-B under the "death-trap" edge of the new FD. You all know what I'm talking about, if you try to up-B with many characters from under FD, you'll get stuck under the edge now and fall to your doom. With Meta Knight, if you side-B into that spot and immediately start holding up and back, the move will turn around enough to grab the ledge after the move ends. I'm not too sure if this can be used for edge guarding or stalling, but it can be used to attack someone on the ledge while still securing your recovery.
I'm curious to know about other fun and useful tricks you guys like to do (I'm sorry if my examples are old).
