Full roster from demo select screen?

Has anyone done any work on figuring out how many characters are in the game based on the character select screen? I heard that people did this with Brawl and its demo, so I assume it's possible.

48 squares is what I came up with. If you scale down the squares to accommodate a fourth row, you can fit twelve across.

Edit - But one of them is the Random button, of course; and there's no guarantee that the last row will even be filled, since Melee's wasn't.

If we assume that the last row is full and the Sal leak is true, meaning Chrom, Shulk, and Chorus Men are in the game, and Lucas has been cut, then that would only leave one more character. I don't know, that doesn't really sound right to me.
