Full jump double fair

I wanted to know what you all think about this technique. I've seen Azen use this quite often with his marth.

The only direct advantage I can see to this technique is that it would be more difficult to shield grab (than a short hopped double fair). Full hopping goes up and over their grab range. I've found it to work out quite nicely.

I suppose that a short hopped double fair would be just as good, if not better, as long as it is spaced well to keep from being shield grabbed in between the first and second fair. But, full hopped double fairs might be a good thing to incorporate into my game.

Any points regarding this technique, and how it might have it's advantages in some situations? :040:

I agree with UMBC Super Smasher, that is mostly only useful if your opponent is in teh air, as marth is weak from below.

Or, you could try doing that, and waveland, into a combo/F-Smash or use it for mind games, just a thought...

Well I agree with what everybody says but theres no point in double fairing someone in the air if you could easily stay in the air to combo them.So as an approach the double lacks safety but what you could try doing is 1.Wait to see if they try to jump out of their sheld to attack thats when you come down with the second fair or DI the first one away from your opponent then attack. But I would recommend not double fairing as an approach because alot of characters can jab you when you finish the first one.Instead I would practice a single fair to grab or D-tilt.Anyone feel free to correct me if I made a mistake.Later.

I am really weary in doing this against characters who can get you from below. Captain Falcon comes to mind, as I've been up air-comboed from making bad jump judgement.

Overall this is something I use all the time : )

TRC in the Marth forums?!

On topic:
The fulljump double f-air is usefull, but not a staple of Marth's game, to me. I'd always prefer to U-air after the first f-air, unless I'm trying to carry someone to the edge for a ken combo.
