How many of you know about/use this? Fastliketree showed it to someone who showed it to me....

Basically, after a Forward throw if you dash after them and immediatly pivot a fsmash, you will be able to tipper characters( like Jiggly for example) who you couldn't previously hit by just fthrow fsmash. It is also the fastest way to chase after someone and hit them with a tipper after a fthrow.

Try it out.

Grab.

Fthrow.

Dash forwards.

Immediatly Dash backwards then pivot a fsmash as soon as possible.

This takes many people by suprise and most of the time they are DIing horribly. It looks cool too :).

I tried implementing this into my game many months ago and ended up just finding other more effective and consistent things to do.

But like any technique, it's good to know how to do it, even if you don't use it.

sounds stupid, why not just walk and fsmash?
Walking is WAY to slow and they can tech before you hit them.

They cannot tech the pivoted fsmash for the most part because it hits them before they hit the ground and it can't be DI'ed away from like fthrow to fsmash can.

If jiggly Doesn't DI its an instant tipper at 0 - 30ish i think.

If she DIs away, a much easier way of doing this would be to just WD very quickly and fsmash.

Wavesmashing is probably a more practical alternative. i doubt many people can pull this off.

You would also be surprised at how well Fthrow to UpB/ReverseUpB is. Since you can also dash and UpB at anytime. Range is deceiving on Marth's UpB.

Not quite sure what you mean by "immediately dash backwards" but you can pivot an Fsmash while going in the same direction (If you were talking about dashing then fsmashing in the other direction).

Personally, i like to just down throw and fsmash. The opponent would just bounce into the perfect spot for a tipper. It almost always hits, but it also depends on your opponents % and if they DI/fastfall away. Also, after doing this a while, your opponent might just predict what you're going to do. Not to mention the weight of the opponent matters too... Link and Falco are like the perfect weight.
