Freezing just before entering PM 3.6b boot menu

I tried downloading the hackless version of Project M 3.6b onto my SD card for my vanilla Wii, but as soon as the game transitions from the Stage Builder to the stack overflow screen, it just freezes on the green static that occurs before I would enter the PM menu. Is there anything I'm doing wrong, or is the mod just taking a longer time to load?

try wiping the card and re-downloading pm 3.6 if that doesn't work let me know....

If you search "project m green screen" you'll probably get about 50 topics asking this.

Remove your gcn memory card.
