Freezes at "Please secure your wrist strap safely" screen

I'm at a loss as to what to do. I have tried downloading non home brew and home brew files but it keeps freezing at this screen. I tried loading on my home brew Wii and on my WiiU with the same issue.

I have all the useable controllers and I have the original brawl disc. If anyone has any tips, I would appreciate it.
