Freeze Glitch Observation

Been trying to figure out exactly how the Freeze Glitch works, this is what I've got so far:

To freeze the opponent, Nana must grab, jab some number of times, and throw. I've heard people say that it only works with certain throws, but that's wrong -- it can be done with any throw (although the u-throw is risky because it puts your opponent out of reach). Popo's Squall Hammer has to last from before Nana headbutts, to after she throws.

I've noticed that the player is frozen as a throw hitbox, so the hitbox stays out indefinitely. By throw hitbox, I mean the 'weak hit' that knocks away other players near your throw.

What I'm wondering: Is it possible, or even plausible, that the hitbox can somehow be recalled, like Ness's Yo-yo Glitch?

I'm assuming no, since the frozen character is actually the hitbox, and it's not "dropped", but figured it's worth investigating.

Edit -- A tournament in the past rule used a rule along these lines: You may use the Freeze Glitch as long as you can unfreeze your opponent. If you are unable to unfreeze them, you forfeit the game.

It seems risky and not worth doing over wobbling, and for the most part it is. Whether it works or not is completely random, because Nana can choose if she wants to jab. The other player can SDI your hits while frozen, taking them out of reach to unfreeze (which is done by a grab headbutt, f-throw, or u-throw).

To solve this, simply grab, and d-throw/b-throw to rack up damage. Neither unfreezes them. Smash DI does not work during a throw, and therefore they'll never be out of reach to unfreeze them.

I doubt anyone will use that rule again... but if so, it's not as risky as it seems.
