First of all, Final Fantasy III on the NES was my first Final Fantasy game. It drew me into the Final Fantasy series, and never lost its charm. It's probably because of this FF3 was and is my favorite Final Fantasy, ever. So, obviously, when the remake of it was announced a few years ago, I was psyched. I pre-ordered it and camped (literally) outside a Gamestop, and I'm pretty sure I was the first person in the south-eastern United States to get a copy.

I played it over and over again. Steadily, I grew weary, having no other challenges to face (I got all the jobs, weapons, and equipment and beat the game five times.). So I put it down for a while.

Flash forward to today. Junahu posted a moveset in Make Your Move 6 two days ago. It happened to be Cloud of Darkness, the final boss of Final Fantasy III. I nearly **** myself. I read it, re-read it, and read it again today.

So, this has inspired me to pick up FF3 again . . . but with a new challenge at hand. The first job you get in the game is the Freelancer (basically Onion Kid from the original FF3). Freelancers can hold a variety of weapons, equipment, and learn Level 1 Black and White magic. Theoretically, you can go through the whole game as one . . .

So, here's the plan: a Freelancer-only run of the entire game, which means beating all bosses. I start today.

Comments or advice, anyone?

All I have to say is good luck. This is also making me want to do a Freelancer-only run of FFV, but I still have to beat my namesake, who is an ***. I've never played this game, but if the Freelancer class is anything like it is in FFV, then I must say good luck again.

Good luck to you, if you do it. Neo is indeed an ***.

UPDATE:

I'm at Dragon's Peak right now with everyone wearing Mythril equipment, dual shields, level 16, and have all spells (so far). I'm putting them in the rear and having everyone spam Blizzard. The most damage I'm taking is 14 (lulz).
