I've recently been inspired to try vertex hacking, so I went to the Autodesk website to buy myself a copy of 3ds max, but when I saw the price was a whopping $3495, I immediately turned away.

It's been four weeks since this happened, and I realise I really want to try my hand at vertex hacking, but I can't seem to find a 3d modeling program that is compatible with DasDonkey vertex box.

If anyone can reccomend a free program that can be used for making vertex hacks, please leave a reply.

Thanks in advance, -Hyperpulse.

Blender doesn't really work well with the latest Vertex Box IMO... plus there's no tutorial on it besides the older version for blender.

I've tried it, but I was stuck at the part where I had to download COLLADA 1.4 plug-in for Blender, and I don't even know where to put it, epsecially since I have no knowledge of using Blender. n-n
