Fox vs. Peach Match-Up Problems

For some reason, almost every time I face a Peach as Fox, I have a hard time fighting her. Am I just bad at the match-up right now or is there something else I'm missing? Any tips for this would be appreciated.

Wo, same here. I had a tons of problem against with Peach so I ranked 2nd in my online tournament. I discussed with AvoiD about peach MU. I hope my note helps you

• Abuse Fox' Falling Nair
• Don't stay linear, go above her and Fall down with Nair
• Don't try edgegaurd unless you are sure Fair spike will land to her, instead ledge trump her and Dsmash.

Yeah, these sound like solid tips to take note of. It's kind of hard to bait her and get in to punish safely though because of turnips but I can try to get around that. And fast fall Nair does seem like a good idea considering I always get caught with her Fair mostly.

Something I have success with is up throws, depending on the person they either jump or air dodge (defensive) or they use a dair to return down. The better player will jump/dodge so aim your up air to hit her chest and if she jumps it's a hit if she dodges you can fall faster than she can.

If they dair, bait it out with an empty short hop up smash.

Also try not to up b too far away from the stage cos turnip snipes are one of the most frustrating ways to die.

I usually run up shield, wait for all hit boxes to come out. The peach will retreat if they hit your shield and they're floating so as soon as the move is done (be patient) dash attack is a good punish or a grab.

Peach has a bit of start up on most moves so you can exploit that if you're feeling aggressive

I like to mix things up against peach. Full hop into grab to keep racking up damage. Falling nair or dair and baiting them to spot dodge at the edge to fsmash them. Pressure with lasers (if she floats read it with a jumping laser)

I'd say the float is dependent on what she has done and the height of her float. Fox is capable of punishing her for a bad float move with Usmash, which at high % will KO her.
