Recently played some friendlies with my sparing partner. Any advice on getting a better Approach and Defensive game?

S/O to gunz the duel, just hearing that song gave me shivers of nostalgia
1st match 1st vid, I noticed that you really have more of a calm fox that doesn't really move too much, mainly your movement in the neutral game consists of fox trotting around, and like really slow dashdances. That's better than nothing, but actual dashdancing could help a lot as well as mixing in some wavedashes here and there. Just watch any video of zero playing fox, look at what he does when he's not lasering or attacking. Dashdances+wavedashes can help up your "defensive" game and if you do it right, you will likely have a lot more success in baiting out overextended approaches. And if you really want to make your "defensive" game go way up, learn to laser lol
Another thing, at around 2:02 you go for an uptilt and nair him afterwards. A good tool to have in your arsenal is shine turnaround-bair (for follow-ups only), because it's less laggy than a fullhop nair and does more damage/knockback.
And speaking of shine, you need to use it a lot more. Too many times in the video you connected an aerial and just ran off without even getting anything off of it. At low percents, you can get a shine off of any connected aerial. Also practice your Lcancels more.
And lastly use grabs more. Just so you know, fox has a pretty good chaingrab on wolf (upthrow to upthrow) And also you should probably watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vah34ZG7J9w
And on your edgeguards, you go really far offstage for no reason sometimes, you shouldn't really try to shinespike wolf from that far off. All you really need to do is just grab ledge and ledgehop back air.

In the 2nd match, a great weakness in your play started showing a lot more now that you've picked a bigger stage. Your punishes seem much better than in the first match; you bait out a lot of your opponent's aerials and punish with upthrow (see next paragraph). You also spent most of the match playing defensively, which is good because you were playing to your strengths (and your opponent's weakness) and ended up 3 stocking him. But when you choose to approach, you really do a lot of weird fullhop nairs and sloppy shffl nairs that a good player can easily punish, so it might not look like a major problem now, but if you ever face a good player who can properly space and bait these approaches, it will hurt you.

Also, your upthrow follow-ups need work, all you've been trying to do was upthrow uptilt upthrow uptilt but it never really worked out quite well. If you're not going to chaingrab, try upthrow upsmash at lower percents (not really optimal but really easy to do + easy damage) or upthrow nair at higher percents (gets people offstage/sets them up for followups)

Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to Fox only playing him for a month or so. I have no access to a human opponent or a CRT at home so please excuse the CPU and LCD gameplay. Could anyone give me feedback/critique?

** I know I did dumb Firefoxes but I don't do it vs a human opponent.

why are you down throwing
also, you're doing a lot of double jump dairs that you shouldn't be doing, it is actually extremely punishable
also, instead of spamming tech skill when you're on stage and your opponent is on the ledge, try to predict and limit their options
other than that, the same problems from last time persist
imo, it'd be really handy for you to try to get ahold of your local smash scene, and try to find players to play against irl

If Fox Up Throws Luigi could escape with nair, I could just punish the nair but the tech chasing is harder for Luigi to escape. The DJ Dair IDK what I was doing tbh

What's up Fox homies? Mind telling me the dumb stuff I'm doing so I can stop being bad and not keep losing to ****ing Wario? kthx. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIjsa5w83GY
MATCHUP SPECIFIC:
-Don't Up-B where Wario's Side B can reach or you're dead (go low if you can, or use side B)

Not matchups specific:
Read this
http://smashboards.com/guides/guide-to-ace-arwing-pilot-fox-mccloud-updated-for-2015.100/

Learn to:
do spacing (search some tutorials)
move better (dd, wdash, wland)
stop full hopping all the time (part of "move better")
recovery properly (sweetspot the ledge plsss, don't do stupid **** like 3:47)
not use dtilt like that (read above guide to see how to use it properly)
not use fair like that (read above blabla)
not only use nair approach (you also have dair and grab)
upthrow upair
learn positioning (keep your opponent cornered at the edge, don't let him take center stage like you did at 6:16)
do proper follow ups
grab the ledge

that should give you plenty to work on for now
