Ok, so this is my first ever Smashboards post, and my username will be changed to something cooler eventually, but I made an account today mainly because I wanted to show you guys some jank I experienced in a netplay match I had the other day, and wanted to know if there was an explanation, or if I just unknowingly changed the Fox metagame forever lol

Anyways, here is a clip of said jank:

Let me know what you guys think, and I apologize in advanced if I have shared something relatively uninteresting haha

it looks like sheik's leg was extended and fox's up smash barely hit it.

so nothing new. it was a bit funny, at least.

I dunno, I mean you could be right, but that distance looks way too great for that to happen, especially since I was only walking, I don't see where my leg would've made even slight contact but who knows lol, I just think that's crazy

I now realize on further inspection after watching the original video in slow motion, that I did a forward tilt just before the up smash and they hitboxes must've just barely collided, so good call on that Comet7, I have no idea how you picked up on that through the GIF alone

You could clearly see the clank-bubble and I'm sure if you watched it with sound you can hear the clank sound as well.
The two moves clanked or would have clanked but since there is more than 9% difference in percent of the moves (up-smash 18%, f-tilt 7%), the up-smash had priority over the f-tilt.

That way the up-smash was able to hit because it could abuse the extended hurtbox from the f-tilt animation.
