Forward Smash causing tripping?

I've noticed when I use Wolf's forward Smash with my back to someone they will trip all the time. It has to be more then just dumb luck. Anyone wanna go in depth with this for me =P?

If your opponent is touching you while you use wolf's fsmash then they will trip. (Or if they are just really really close to you). Try it out in training mode.

I don't suppose this is practical in anyway? I've found there's to much time between the trip and the ending of the fSmash. I don't suppose you can cancel his forward smash ?

Well, for one it prevents Wolf for being harassed. XD
