Now, I'm not sure if this does mean we're getting more characters, but seeing how the 3DS footage streamed was considered the final roster, I can see this final character being DLC. Thoughts?

That was sent out soon after Shulk was revealed. If you're referring to the reveal mentioned in this ad, I'm pretty sure they're talking about Shulk. Click the official site button at the time and it takes you straight to the main page with the Shulk trailer queued up.l

And if not, it's most likely going to be Bowser Jr. or Duck Hunt Dog.

guys this roster is awesome. Even bowser jr looks interesting. I was a hater of him, but seeing him do his moves and have the koopaling alternates, i cant wait to try him.

Even if you are disappointed with the smash 4 roster, we still have PROJECT M! that game has snake, lucas, and wolf still. It will continue to be supported for probably years to come! Lets stop whining and open our eyes that we have a lot of options availabe to us smashers. We are all very lucky : )
