This is a pint of curiosity with an ounce of bragging, but my current record on for glory is 150 wins to 5 losses. I was wondering how the rest of the macs in our forums were getting along! How is the mode treating you fellow Macs? Who is your hardest match-up? Who do you find the easiest to beat?

I had a 91% win ratio (out of 200 maybe) with Little Mac until a week ago when I dropped him for Meta Knight. I plummeted to 71%, but now I'm back up to 76 by still using MK exclusively. in any case I think it's a fun statistic but nothing to put much stock into.

I don't have my actual ratio right now but I lost a lot in the beginning mainly because I wasn't used to Macs play style. I'm doing pretty great right now as Mac. I rarely lose. In FG, I've only lost to ZSS, Sheik, Robin, and Rosalina so far. I think I have Robin and Rosalina figured out now but ZSS and Sheik are kinda tough. Posting my ratio wouldn't even be relevant to this thread tho because it's from playing a few different characters

I just got a handle on who my mains could actually be, after the shock of not having played Smash in ages and getting bodied. Now I use me some Dorf and Mac and that win percentage is climbing up towards 50%. Not that it really matters, because if I end up playing someone superior to me, I keep playing them and saving replays, usually until they quit and my win/loss takes a beating.

I can put up a fight now, if not body the average player, but those better players are a gold mine, and I don't care enough about my stats to not take the opportunity to learn.

Amen to this.

I have between 60% and 70% or something like that but I own about 9 out of 10 people with ease. It is just that when I beat someone and it is obvious he will not win on a second try, he goes away after a single game. While when I meet someone who is better I keep playing for the challenge. So I get 1 win for when I am better than someone and like 10 losses when I am not.

Win Ratio is irrelevant. A high ratio probably just means that you go away as soon as you meet someone who is clearly better than you and get owned once. For real skill you need a point system which awards points or takes them away based on your opponents skill. In such a system I would probably do better seeing as most of my loses are from a few good players.

The win ratio is definitely meaningless; I had 85% win ratio from fighting random people until they quit, then I found a few players that absolutely destroyed me. I fought each of them around 20 times in a row, with my silly win rate plummeting to 25%, but I learned so much, finally beating them a few times. It was a win-win scenario-- they gained a win ratio while I gained invaluable experience. All 'bout dat exp.

Started using Mac today for 50-ish games... and my past 50 have a winrate of around 90% (With Robin, I was getting 60%-70%), and that's with sticking around against tougher matchups... though, when someone wins, they seem to leave versus LM, I've noticed. He was beyond intuitive (even getting a few Nair gimps took no practice-- not any sleight to Mac, just that he fit like a... um... glove. Not necessarily a boxing glove, but... XD). But yeah, lost a time or two to a fantastic PacMan (he used his Up B to force me into the air quite cleverly-- though he didn't appreciate the Nairs and slip counters that ensued), exactly one loss due to jolt haymaker SD (stage zoomed in, couldn't keep track of the edge, was a reflex to hit a projectile-spamming Link >//<), and a downright hysterical loss from my running into a Dedede's inhale, lol. I think another might've been against a really good Greninja (they used shadow sneak to recover... that takes some serious fearlessness). Though, other than the Dedede, I got to play against each again and ended up taking more wins off of them than anything...

That said, I'm some sort of idiot savant of KO punch reversals, else that'd be more like 80%-- I've hit Falco out of his side B by some freak luck of a reflex. I still miss a third of them or so, granted, but I've only been gimped a handful of times, myself... Ah, but Marth I'm strictly losing to, thinking of it-- lost a best of 3 to one and haven't played any Marths since.
