footstool jump: the new spike?

as most of us lunatics know, the footstool jump is going to allow midair meteor smashes (the word they use for spikes) without needing to shffl a dair. this thread is to discuss whether or not this will actually replacing dairing in advanced play. some problems i could see occuring with this is that dairs may have a better range and less unintentional lag.
